There are artifacts that seems built to make both work together. The learning curve is really good.
Oracle integration can be used for general purposes also, but this book is focused on Oracle ERP Cloud interactions.
REST+SOAP+FBDI are the main bricks, you will have to master these features to get jobs done.

This book will not focus on Administrator tasks, it assumes someone will be in charge of managing the tenancies and assigning you the needed roles, reference documents can provide details for this.
