Membership Period Change PDF Print E-mail
Dear SAOUG Members,

NOTE:  This information update is only applicable to current SAOUG members, and does not affect NEW MEMBERS joining from 11 May 2010 onwards.

2010
MEMBERSHIP PERIOD CHANGE

The SAOUG board has decided to change the SAOUG membership period from a 12-monthly membership to a yearly membership.

The following reasons for the change of membership:
  • Same membership period used by Quest International Users Group (USA) and the United Kingdom Oracle User Group (UKOUG);
  • All membership fees will be received before the SAOUG Financial Year End;
  • This change will ensure a better invoicing system for SAOUG administration;
  • SAOUG Benefit: SAOUG Members’ Loyalty Cards (Campaign to be launched by 1 August 2010) will ensure members have the loyalty benefits on yearly basis;
  • New members:  Any new members joining the SAOUG during the course of the year will be charged pro-rata on the period of activation.

We would like to make this change of membership period more lucrative for our current members, and would like to offer the following packages for your new membership period change:-

Individual members  (Current Rate: R950 p/Individual member)

  • Individual Members will be invoiced pro-rata up to 31 December 2010; and will receive a 20% discount for 2011 fees which must be paid by 15 December 2010.

  • Individual Members will receive their pro-rata invoices when their membership period is due; and renewal will also include the 20% discount for the 2011 period.  This will not add any pressure for immediate payment for membership fees which are up to date at present.

  • Individual Members who have already made payment for the 2010/2011 membership period, will receive their renewal invoice by 1 November  2010 with 20% discount for renewal of 2011 membership which must be paid by 15 December 2010.
Membership will be discounted with the respective months already paid;
i.e. Membership period: 1 April 2010 to 31 March 2011.  Membership will then be discounted for 3-months.

NOTEIf payment on 2011 fees is not made by 15 December 2010, the 20% discount will not apply, and they will receive a membership renewal invoice for membership period: 1 January 2011 to 31 December 2011 with no discount applicable.

Corporate members:  (Companies for up to 10 x members)    (Current Rate: R6,300 p/Corporate member)

  • Corporate Members will be invoiced pro-rata up to 31 December 2010; and will receive a 20% discount for 2011 fees which must be paid by 15 December 2010.

  • Corporate Members will receive their pro-rata invoices when their membership period is due; and renewal will also include the 20% discount for the 2011 period.  This will not add any pressure for immediate payment for membership fees which are up to date at present.

  • Corporate Members who have already made payment for the 2010/2011 membership period, will receive their renewal invoice by 1 November  2010 with 20% discount for renewal of 2011 membership which must be paid by 15 December 2010.
Membership will be discounted with the respective months already paid;

We are hoping this will be more beneficial to the SAOUG as members will have a yearly membership; and all benefits will be applicable accordingly.

Your membership details will be forwarded whereby you will be able to determine your membership period.  We would also like to draw your attention to the information required to assist us with members’ loyalty cards and the website up date with information.  Please assist us in this information update ASAP to ensure we can provide you as member with the best service possible.
