Friday, 22 JULY 2011

–  Deadline date for express of interest and any queries pertaining to submission.
This will allow us to view the speakers per the tracks allocated in the Agenda

   

Friday, 2 SEPTEMBER 2011

Notification of acceptance of papers by the Speaker Committee.

   

Friday, 14 OCTOBER 2011

– Deadline date for submission of final white papers (not speaking opportunities)

and for the submission of Speakers’ PowerPoint, incl.

   

Monday, 7 NOVEMBER 2011

– Deadline date for submission of your PowerPoint

   

Speaker Registration

Once the Speaker Selection Committee confirmed you as a SAOUG2011 speaker on the agenda, you will be able to register for the conference at NO COST.

Registration for speakers will open on 2 September 2011.

NOTE: Speakers may register for the conference, and will be reimbursed if chosen for the SAOUG2011 Agenda.

   

SPEAKER BENEFITS

   

- The good news is that, if selected, you can attend the conference without having to pay a registration fee.  This includes all the social events.  (The SAOUG does not pay fees to conference speakers.)
- Discounted hotel accommodation is available on the SAOUG2011 conference website for all speakers. Bookings and availability can be obtained from the SAOUG2011 conference website under accommodations
- SAOUG2011 Conference speakers stand a chance to win 1 of the 3 awards, which will be awarded at the last keynote session on Tuesday, 15 November 2011. 
 

Awards are: 

1. Best Speaker (Include both 14 November and 15 November presentations) 

  2. Best Written Paper  
 

3. Most Innovative Presentation (This will include 14 November and 15 November presentations)  

- Speakers’ papers and presentation will be published on the SAOUG website(with your written consent) whereby attendees may view or download them for future reference

 

EXPECTATIONS FROM THE SAOUG FOR SPEAKERS

Do you have the expertise and knowledge to share:-

- Implemented or upgraded TO THE LATEST VERSION OF Oracle, PeopleSoft, J D Edwards, Siebel or Hyperion software;
- Implemented or upgraded TO THE LATEST VERSION of hardware products, JAVA, MySQL, OpenSolaris;
- Have had some experience with components of the Fusion Middleware;
- Used Oracle applications and/or technology in a unique way to enhance Processes, create value or reduce cost;
- Had a particular unique implementation;
- An implementation, upgrade or specific application that other Oracle customers could learn from;
- Extensive knowledge of your company’s services of which you are proud;
- Relevant experiences from which others can learn from;
- Are an expert on a particular topic and want to share your expertise;
- An Oracle topic or area of concern that you want to debate in an open forum.

 

You do NOT have to be an excellent speaker, your passion, knowledge and desire

to share that knowledge is what we are looking for.
